Product Description
Here's a great new strawberry variety that's just packed with flavour! 'Sweet Summer' gives a heavy crop of large conical berries which are firm yet superbly sweet and juicy. It's an 'everbearer' variety which means the plants are not affected by day length and so just keep on cropping right through summer and into autumn, often as late as the first frosts, each one giving as much as kilo through the season so you'll pick loads from this pack of plants. As the growing plants produce few runners they stay nice and tidy and are perfect for container growing too.
Plants are not troubled by disease and very easy to grow. If you are looking to pick sweet juicy fruit throughout the warmer months this is the perfect strawberry to choose.

Delivered as fresh bare rooted runners. Plant as soon as conditions allow. If ground is frozen or waterlogged keep in a cool place and ensure roots remain moist until planted.

Top Tips
- Pick your strawberries first thing in the morning, when fruit is at its juiciest, and pick only ripe red fruit as orange berries won’t have developed their full flavour.
- Pick the strawberries carefully, complete with their stalks and green calyxes.
Care Guide
- Strawberry plants need a good six to eight hours of full sun a day for optimal fruit production, so place your pot somewhere sunny.
- Strawberry containers should be watered daily and will need regular feeding (once a month until blooming) due to the limited amount of nutrients in the pot.
- Water regularly to prevent the plants drying out. When watering, try not to get the fruit wet.
- Feed your strawberry pot at least once a month until flowering and then every ten days with a liquid feed that is high in potassium and low in nitrogen, such as our own liquid strawberry feed.
- Fruit should be picked as soon as berries are red, if possible, in dry weather, taking care to leave the green stalk in place once fruit is picked.

Ordered free everbearer strawberry plants. I didn't have very high expectations but they arrived within a couple of days and I was was very pleased with them. They were a bareroot bundle and most were showing signs of growth, I planted them up straightaway. A couple of weeks later every one is starting to grow, I would definitely use Garden Bargains again.Product:

The strawberry runners were planted on 24-02-2023 and have already started sprouting leaves.IT'S JUST A PITY THAT THE PATIO PEACH TREE 'CRIMSON [R] BARE ROOT WHICH I ORDERED ON 20/02/2022 DIDN'T GROW. I PHONED GARDEN BARGAINS FOR A REPLACEMENT LAST JULY BUT WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE REPLACED IN 2023. SO I CALLED AGAIN ON 30/01/2023 AND WAS GIVEN AN ORDER NUMBER OR11503768 AND TOLD IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT 2 WEEKS FOR THE DELIVERY. SO I PHONED AGAIN ON 24/02/2023 ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THE SUPPLIERS OF THE TREE WENT INTO LIQUIDATION ON 23/02/2023 AND THE COMPANY DEALING WITH THE CREDITORS PHONE NUMBER WAS 0208-661-4001 SO I PHONED ON 27/02/2023 ONLY TO GO THROUGH TO AN ANSWERPHONE, SO I LEFT ALL THE DETAILS FROM THE ORIGINAL ORDER AND MY CONTACT DETAILS, BUT AS OF YET NO-ONE HAS RESPONDED. Goods were delivered within time stated however the choice of Yodel as courier leaves a lot to be desired. Box clearly labelled 'live plants' and 'This way up' was left upside down outside front door in very high temperature.Product:
Looked a little tattered on delivery (box left upside down outside door by Yodel) but perked up after a quick soak. Planted out and they have really raced away! Excellent so far.
