Product Description
Here's a great new strawberry variety that's just packed with flavour! 'Sweet Summer' gives a heavy crop of large conical berries which are firm yet superbly sweet and juicy. It's an 'everbearer' variety which means the plants are not affected by day length and so just keep on cropping right through summer and into autumn, often as late as the first frosts, each one giving as much as kilo through the season so you'll pick loads from this pack of plants. As the growing plants produce few runners they stay nice and tidy and are perfect for container growing too.
Plants are not troubled by disease and very easy to grow. If you are looking to pick sweet juicy fruit throughout the warmer months this is the perfect strawberry to choose.

Delivered as 20 fresh bare rooted runners. Plant as soon as conditions allow. If ground is frozen or waterlogged keep in a cool place and ensure roots remain moist until planted.

Care Guide
- Strawberry plants need a good six to eight hours of full sun a day for optimal fruit production, so place your pot somewhere sunny. 2
- Strawberry containers should be watered daily and will need regular feeding (once a month until blooming) due to the limited amount of nutrients in the pot.
- Water regularly to prevent the plants drying out. When watering, try not to get the fruit wet.
- Feed your strawberry pot at least once a month until flowering and then every ten days with a liquid feed that is high in potassium and low in nitrogen, such as our own liquid strawberry feed.
- Fruit should be picked as soon as berries are red, if possible, in dry weather, taking care to leave the green stalk in place once fruit is picked.

My small plants were sent over a very hot Bank holiday period consequently they were dead on arrival, the Company sent replacements which although not dead were not good plants and most have died, very disappointed in the length of time from ordering to delivery.Product:
I have tried to save these plants but most have died, I wish I had bought my plants locally not on line, they would have been quite large plants by now.

it took 14 days for delivery which is stated on web site but when phoned 9 days in they had not done anything with my orderProduct:
came in polythene bags inside heads are very slimy still waiting for signs of life.i am looking after the way garden bargains have stated

My plants ordered were unusable as they were sent over the Bank holiday, I complained and GardenBargains sent me a new order free of charge.Product:
The first order was dead on arrival and there second free order does not look much better, however have planted these and will see if they survive. Not very pleased at all.
