A bold, chestnut-brown pointed petal, tipped with ochre yellow, gives tulip ‘Gavota’ a distinctive colour contrast that will add drama to your mid to late spring flowering efforts.

Top Tips
Although essentially a robust tulip, plant in a sheltered position to protect from strong wind and heavy rain.
Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots before planting to encourage faster and more reliable establishment.
Care Guide
- Plant in the autumn, 10-15cm deep, 10-15cm apart in fertile, well-drained soil in a sheltered spot to protect from strong wind and heavy rain.
- Keep well-watered through the growing season.
- Remove the flower heads once they have faded and apply a weekly fertiliser for best results next season.
- Once the foliage has begun to die back, dig up the bulb for storing. Clean the soil from the bulbs and discard any that appear damaged or diseased. Allow to dry thoroughly, then store at 18-20°C (65-68°F), in a dark, well-ventilated place for replanting in the autumn.
