Top Tips
The 'Serotina' positively thrives in a coastal garden so is a perfect choice for those lucky enough to live by the sea!
Care Guide
'Lonicera' has a vigorous climbing habit and will flourish when twined around a fence, arbour or pergola.
Planting the climbers 45cm apart will provide you with good even coverage. Your plants will also appreciate some vertical wire supports, again at 45cm intervals.
Keep the soil moist, watering weekly in the warmer months and fortnightly in Winter if dry.
If honeysuckle aphids appear, wipe them off and spray the leaves with soapy water. Spring feeding will help to prevent powdery mildew.
Lonicera will be happy in sun or partial shade. Avoid strong sunlight, which can scorch your plant.
Feed with a general purpose fertiliser and mulch in Spring.
