A lovely contrast to the usual greens, this medium-sized bush has stunning golden-green rounded leaves. It's a deciduous shrub so bare in winter, in spring the young leaves mature to a lime green before turning shades of orange and red in autumn.
Feathery flowers appear in summer, singly they are insignificant yet together they give the plant a hazy look leading to its common name - Smoke Bush.
Easy to grow and suitable for any garden or gardener, this fully hardy shrub thrives in most soils although does need a sunny spot to do best. Cotinus is easy to maintain needing just an occasional light trim to encourage new growth which enhances the display of foliage.
Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot ready for immediate planting out.
