Wildflower Wild Foxglove Digitalis Purpurea: Velvet trumpets of pink-purple make this woodland native a must-have for wildlife gardens. Becoming rarer in the wild, foxgloves make very striking garden plants. Their beautifully dappled blooms attract pollinating insects and are a favourite of our native bumble bees. Growing to 60cm (24in). Sow outdoors, April-July, directly where they are to flower. Flowers May - July.
Californian Poppy Monarch 'Art Shades': Californian Poppy 'Monarch Art Shades' is a compact and wonderfully colourful addition to the summer garden. The plants produces double or semi-double flowers in powerful shades of orange. Perfect in pots and at the front of borders or scattered amongst your planting to give intense highlights. Growing to 30cm (1ft). Sow outdoors, March-May or August-October, directly where they are to flower. Flowers June - August.
Cosmos 'Sensation Mixed': Bring a classic cottage garden feel to your borders and large pots with Cosmos 'Sensation'. Exceptionally free flowering, giving a succession of blooms. With its delicate feathery foliage 'Sensation' makes a lovely cut flower too. It's pollen rich, yellow centres are a magnet for bees all summer long. Growing to 120cm (48in). Sow outdoors from April - May directly where they are to flower. Flowers June - October.

Wildflower Wild Foxglove Digitalis Purpurea
- Sow 0.5cm (žin) deep, directly into prepared soil.
- Before sowing, rake the soil to a fine tilth and water well.
- When seedlings appear (usually 21-35 days) thin them to 25cm (10in) apart.
- Water well and regularly until plants are established.
- Outdoors, keep plants weed free to avoid competition.
- Alternatively, sow seeds indoors, April-July, 0.5cm (žin) deep, in a tray of compost.
- Water well and place in a cold frame, unheated greenhouse, or on a cool windowsill.
- Transplant individually, when large enough to handle, to 7.5cm (3in) pots.
- Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions, before planting out into moist soil, September-October, 25cm (10in) apart.
- Flowers: May to July, the following year.
Californian Poppy Monarch 'Art Shades'
- Sow outdoors, 0.5cm (žin) deep, Mar - May or Aug - Oct.
- Sow onto watered soil. Keep moist.
- Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days.
- Thin to 15cm (6in) apart when large enough to handle.
- Flowers: June - August.
Cosmos 'Sensation Mixed'
- Sow indoors, February - April, 0.5cm (žin) deep, in trays of compost.
- Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20°C (60-68°F) is ideal.
- Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days.
- Transplant 5cm (2in) apart, to other trays when large enough to handle, holding by a leaf, never by the stem. Grow on in cooler conditions.
- Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions before planting out, May-June, 30cm (1ft) apart, into well-drained soil, when all risk of frost has passed.
- Alternatively, sow outdoors April - May where they are to flower, 1.5cm (―in) deep in finely prepared soil.
- Flowers: June - October.
