Product Description
A beautiful dwarf variety of Shasta daisy, ‘Real Neat’ speaks for itself with its naturally compact form and dense masses or leaves, stems and flowers.
A robust herbaceous perennial, the narrow, deep green, thoothed leaves form a tight clump and from June, straight, erect stems rise bearing large, sumptuous double flowers with the most wonderfully fluted pure white petals arranged around a large, centre of golden yellow stamens. Leucanthemums make first class cut flowers and last well in water, and bees, butterflies and other insects are drawn to the bright, wide open flowers.
‘Real Neat’ is so easy to grow and undemanding to look after. It’s happy in sun or dappled shade growing in moist but well-drained soil and needs nothing more than the regular removal of flowered stems to keep the display continuing into the autumn. An excellent plant for container growing, it’s such a naturally tidy plant and will look wonderful on a patio, balcony, or close to a door as a cheerful welcome for visitors.

- Plants can lose vigour over time, and clumps should be lifted and divided every 2-3 years.
Care Guide
- Water your potted plant well.
- Dig a hole a little deeper and 3 x wider than the nursery pot.
- Add a soil conditioner such as well-rotted manure to the earth removed from the hole if necessary.
- Remove the plant from its pot and tease out a few of the roots.
- Place your plant in the hole at the same level at the pot.
- Refill the hole with the earth removed (backfilling).
- Firm in the spoil with you heel, avoiding the root ball.
- Keep well-watered but avoid letting the plant sit in cold, wet soil in winter.
- Cut back to the base in late autumn.
- Divide plants every 2-3 years to maintain vigour.
