Heleniums are late flowering perennials with spectacular flowers in hot colours. Also known as sneezeweed, they’re invaluable for bringing vibrant colour to the garden from mid-summer until the autumn.
‘Zorro Bicolor’ is a stunning Helenium with toothed leaves and magnificent rich red flowers edged in golden yellow with a chocolate-coloured centre that gradually turns yellow as the flowers age and the stamens appear - a fiery colour combination that’s impossible to ignore from July until September!
Still in full flower when other garden plants are fading away, plant ‘Zorro Bicolor’ in beds and borders or in large pots to create vibrant, flaming displays on your patio. Try underplanting it with Crocosmia to really turn up the heat.
Recommended by the RHS as a 'Plant for Pollinators' the flowers are a favourite with butterflies and bees and many other insects. Carried on long, straight and strong stems, they are ideal cut flowers, and there are so many of them that you’ll be able to pick them right the way through the flowering season, bringing bold, hot colour into your house.
Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready for planting, reaching a height of 50cm (20in) and spread of 60cm (2ft).
