A unique, double-flowered, creamy-yellow clematis that is simply packed with great, garden-worthy qualities, Clematis koreana 'Amber' becomes covered in many petalled, soft yellow blooms which are blushed pink at the tips.
These burst open abundantly in a cascade of pale lemon abundantly from April through to June and then repeat flush in September. The clusters of nodding blooms are followed by fluffy seed heads, so the plant looks spectacular even when it’s not in flower.
Winner of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year 2016, 'Amber' has both novelty in the shape of its flowers and originality in its growth habit.
Flowering on both old and new wood it needs no pruning to bloom and reaches only 2-2.5m (6.5-8 ft) so is very manageable in any garden whatever your level of experience.
Horticulturally excellent and giving real impact in the garden, 'Amber' is relatively compact, and can be grown in a large patio pot so is perfect for growing over an obelisk or small support so you can grow it even without a garden!
Plus, it will grow in any aspect so with such a wide appeal it's no wonder it has achieved such acclaim!
