Product Description

Bountiful pink roses rarely emerge as impressive as the rosettes of 'The Fairy Pink'. This is a variety of a Polyanthus rose, which are small, yet vigorous ramblers, perfect for filling up your favourite patio pots.

A worthy alternative to the popular carpet roses, these delights certainly impress with wave after wave of rose flowers in large, closely packed bunches. These contrast magnificently against glossy green leaves, which really highlight the colours, making the blooms 'pop'.

As well as their gorgeous looks, 'The Fairy' roses are hardy with good disease resistance, forming neat, compact bushes which make them ideal for patio pots and borders.

Flowering continuously from June until the first frosts, these delicate little roses are extremely versatile and very low maintenance, which makes them the perfect addition to your garden where they can be left to get on and do what they do best.

Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience. You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, for stunning displays for many years to come.

Supplied as an established plant in a 15cm pot, ready for planting.

Plant Information

Top Tips

Plant en-masse for spectacualar groundcover or an eye-catching low hedge.
When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.
Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.

Care Guide

  • Grow in fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
  • Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry.
  • Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.
  • Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary.
  • Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.
  • Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.
  • For best results, feed roses in in late-March/April and again late July.
  • Provide good air circulation and remove fallen leaves and faded flowers to keep plants in tip-top condition.
  • In late winter or early spring, prune hard (back to 10 -18 inches) and reduce sideshoots to 2 or 3 buds.
  • To renovate out of condition plants, or to add renewed vigour, prune one in three stems close to the base.
  • To prune, you would traditionally cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.
