Named after Desmond Tutu's wife, Rose 'Leah Tutu' is a floribunda shrub rose with stunning golden-yellow, large multi-layered, multi-petalled blooms that will add something special to your garden.
Contrasting against its rich green foliage, the huge flowers look almost similar to a Dahlia, combining the free-flowering shrubby nature of a rose with the beauty of a Dahlia bloom.
Repeat flowering, Leah Tutu will grace your garden with its splendid presence all summer long, flowering from June throught to the September. It also has a beautiful scent that you can enjoy throughout those warm summer months.
Easy to look after and maintain, Leah Tutu is ideal both for pots and containers or planted direct in the border. It will stay compact in height, growing to no more than 1m tall, so you don't need to worry about it taking over your garden.
All of our freshly potted roses are field grown and dug up and potted when the weather conditions are right in October or November, just as the plants are entering their winter dormancy, which helps keep the roots hydrated and in good condition.
The roses can be kept in their pots throughout the winter provided they are kept well fed and watered, however ideally, they should planted out as soon as possible. Because plants are dormant throughout the winter, they do not produce any new roots until spring, so don't be alarmed if the compost falls away from the roots when you take them out of their pots.
They will already have been cut back so no further pruning will be required, apart from removing any tips that have died back.
