Product Description
Probably the most famous & popular Rose of all time; Peace has beautiful primrose-yellow flowers that fade to blush-pink at the tips. Each of its large, showy double blooms is accompanied by a delightful light fragrance! Repeat-flowering, disease resistant and easy to grow, this hardy, vigorous Hybrid Tea variety is a brilliant garden performer.
Endorsed by the RHS Award of Garden Merit and public alike - It has been voted World's Favourite Rose too in 1976. It is steeped in history and was named in 1945 to commemorate the end of World War II, having been smuggled out of France as a seedling during hostilities. Later that year Peace roses were given to delegations at the inaugural meeting of the United Nations with a note that read: We hope the Peace rose will influence mens thoughts for everlasting world peace. 'Peace is the finest Hybrid Tea ever raised and it will remain a standard variety forever' - Peter Beales, Rose Expert.

Plant Information
Top Tips
To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly.
Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.
When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.
Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.
Care Guide
- Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry.
- Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.
- Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary and plant so that the graft union (the swollen area when the stems meet the roots) is around 3cm below soil level.
- Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry. Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.
- For best results, feed roses in late-March/April and again in late July.

Ordered the 2 Roses when joining Garden Bargains. Unfortunately, before delivery, we were notified that the products were not up to a high standard, and therefore were not sent. A couple of weeks later, the 2 new plants arrived. No problems. Many thanks for your caring concerns, and ensuring we were satisfied.

Pair of roses bought as a birthday present. One was fine, good roots and top growth but the other was significantly inferior, little root and top growth, even came with a dandelion which looked very healthy! I'm hoping that the little rose will improve.

I did one test order, then ordered loads more after because the quality was so good. I will be ordering again and have rated the service five stars because it is excellent. So many mail order sites promise the earth, but garden bargains deliver in every way. A big well done for being so well organised and providing beautiful plants and bulbs. Thank you.
