- Hardy down to -5°C once established, Crape Myrtle enjoys a hot sheltered position and is best grown against a south facing wall or as a specimen plant in the conservatory if in a frost-prone area.
- Plant in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.
- No routine pruning is necessary apart from the removal of diseased, damaged, or dead wood in March or April. Shoots that are growing in unwanted directions can also be pruned out.
