Lilacs will never fail to impress and are a must have in your spring garden!
Bursting with highly fragrant flowers from later spring into early summer, these beautiful and decorative garden shrubs will make their presence known.
A real showstopper, the syringa vulgaris 'Nadezhda' is no exception! Appearing in great profusion at the end of branches clothed with heart-shaped green leaves, the tiny, packed clusters of pinky-purple buds open to reveal a mass of double, lilac-blue blooms that smell incredible and act as a magnet to wildlife.
A real sun lover, lilacs can be grown in just about any soil or can be raised in large containers if kept regularly pruned, which is not difficult as the blooms make superb cut flowers.
For a sensational floral display, year after year, deadhead when two new shoots appear beneath faded blooms and remove any wayward branches to keep a compact shape.
Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready to plant.
