Compact and naturally rounded in form, this shrubby honeysuckle has tiny, ovate, mid-green glossy leaves which are flushed with red during autumn and winter.
A bushy shrub with neat uniform growth, 'Tidy Tips' is a great alternative to Box and can be used for a low hedge or trimmed into topiary. And unlike Box, there's no need to worry about blight or Box tree caterpillars. This is a tough little plant, hardy down to -15°C (5°F).
Although there will be flowers in spring, unlike most other honeysuckles these are not significant.
Suppled as an established plant in a 2L pot, ready for planting straight out, growing to a height and spread of 1.2m (4ft) in 10 years.
