An Australian native, Eriostemon 'White Star' is an evergreen, hardy shrub that will bring months of colour and form to your garden. Going by many names including the Long-leaf Waxflower and the Australian Native Daphne, this hardy evergreen shrub is a scented wonder, worthy of a place in any garden.
A truly eye-catching display, the beautifully fragrant flowers contrast magically with the waxy green leaves and will attract pollinators, such as butterflies and bees into your garden. Long flowering from April through to August, striking clusters of lustrous white, star-shaped flowers look as though they have been carved from wax and burst from pristine white buds. Its fragrance is certainly on par with Daphne, and similarly, it also thrives in free-draining soil in a sunny, sheltered spot.
Suitable for any garden situation from contemporary urban plantings to cottage garden styles, the compact nature of this plant also makes it ideal for patio container displays.
Hardy to -5°C, Eriostemon is easy to grow and maintain, and we recommend planting in patio containers where they will thrive in sunny or a partially shaded area and can be brought under cover if freezing temperatures threaten.
Supplied as an established plant in a 15cm Pot ready for potting on or planting out.
