Leucothoe 'Rainbow' is an evergreen, multi-stemmed shrub with striking, arching reddish branches of long, glossy leaves which are variegated with shades of green, cream pink and bronze.
In autumn, these leaves take on a much deeper, more saturated colour, seeming to blush all over giving you year-round colour and form adding interest wherever it is planted.
Also known as the fetterbush or doghobble, this ornamental shrub is highlighted in spring with drooping clusters of dainty yellow, bell-like flowers that last well into midsummer.
Perfectly Hardy to -20°C plants are easy to grow and make perfect specimens in a large pot or in beds and borders where their colourful leaves can shine through the garden. They’re especially attractive in terracotta or rust-coloured pots.
Growing to 1.5m tall and wide, we supply an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready for potting on or planting out.
