Commonly known as the Rose of Sharon, these superb new Hibiscus have a unique columnar habit meaning they take much less space in the border yet still give the height of regular types. They're the perfect plant for late-season colour being smothered with exotic, papery pastel blooms from August right through to October.
Plant in a sunny spot in soil that retains moisture and Hibiscus will do well but are hungry so like regular feeding. Beyond this they're easy to care for, plants need a light trim to shape in early spring whilst young. Thereafter they need little or no pruning.
Grow in the border - in a row Hibiscus Pillar make a perfect screen plant - or in large pots for spectacular late summer displays.
Supplied as a pair of plants in 13cm pots, ready for immediate planting out. One each of Purple Column and White Column, growing to approx 2.5m tall.
To ensure plenty of flowers, plant in a sunny position, sheltered from strong winds.
