Flamingo Willow Salix 'Hakuro-nishiki' Tree

My first two trees purchased had some Canker on the grafts, so they were replaced "Thankyou" but the process was fraught with the call handler. The replacements turned up and were dry crispy and basically dead in the box, reported this and was told it was the couriers fault leaving the trees with no water, off their own back they again said they would replace, but only one tree arrived and it was not what was ordered, it was some green tree not the pink leaved, so I have basically given up, what was a Birthday present for the wife turned out to be a bit of a disaster. I am only writing this as it arrived in my inbox and the review was prompted, Shame as Garden Bargains tried to be fair but along the way it never worked out.

Plants arrived well packaged and on time. They were in good condition when they arrived and still are after planting.

Quality good as usual, would have been 5 stars but again let down by courier service. The tree was left on it?s side despite clear labeling on the box and was also left outside the porch when instructions were to leave inside. Also the courier company who deliver garden bargains in my area never knock or ring the doorbell, it?s only by chance or observant neighbours that l know it?s been delivered.

The Web site was very good along with the good prices. Ordering was simple and straightforward, however once ordered we waited 3 weeks and had not heard anything concerning the delivery of our goods. I then sent an email about our concerns and tried the telephone number, which didnt connect. We were just about to report it as a scam website, when after nearly a month I received an email. You need to make talking to your customers a higher priority.

The delivery was delayed but there was no communication about it. In addition, I ordered some plug plants and less than 50% survived. While it can be a bit hit and miss with plug plants, I have never had such low survival rates with other companies I have used in the past.

Excellent service , plants were very well packed and in very good condition and received in a couple of days of sending. They are now well established in their pots and being admired by our friends and passers by.

I am not happy with Garden bargain being a member you think they would send good plants but far from it.
no growth as yet but looking at the standard it's not straight in the pot leaning to the side just twigs as yet but not many of them also shorter than the size 78cm.

When the fact that I had not received my order as stated was brought to their attention the problem was addressed very quickly and a new delivery was arranged at their expense. It was delivered by a very charming young man from yodel , together we opened the parcel and I am pleased to say the 'Hakuru Nishiki' was undamaged and just what I had expected.

I placed my order on the 23.02.2019 and paid 6.99 for delivery. As yet I have not received it despite having had notification that it had been dispatched and would be delivered by 07.03.2019. I was issued with a tracking number which is useless and so I have not been able to track the order. I will not be making any futher purchases from Garden bargains!

I do not think it is a good idea to send out plants over a holiday weekend,
sent out thursday and not received till tuesday.

Well packed and arrive in good condition
Have now bought three of these plants which shows how pleased we are with them.

The headline offer was for a one metre tree, but once ordered, it was suddenly a 90cm tree. I phoned the company to point this out & ask if there was a corresponding 10!% discount. I was told that an e mail about the height discrepancy would be sent to head office & they would call me back. No such return call to me was ever made.
The recipient of the tree seemed pleased with it, but she didn't know that it should have been taller.

customer service excellent, helpful advice and willingness to assist if there is a problem my only comment is that the packing of plants needs to be addressed as ome of my plants have been packed in boxes far too small, so the brachnes get broken and it is really hard to get the plants out without damaging them further. also the pots they were in were broken too so there was compost everywhere.

I am pleased with the tree and bulbs and the price was good. BUT, I did not realise until after I had ordered that it would take 5-7 days to be despatched and then another 2 days to actually arrive. The delivery times should be made clear before ordering.
