This variegated Griselinia, or New Zealand Privet, is a lovely evergreen plant for a mixed border giving all year round colour and providing a nice foil to more colourful plants. Above all it makes a splendid hedging plant, either on its own or as part of a mixed planting - especially in windy or coastal areas, where it is very resilient so wind, salt and harsher climates..
The year round oval glossy leaves are attractively and erractically edged with cream and the plant bears tiny yellowish flowers in spring. Grow s20-30cm (8-12') per year so is fatser than soem evergreens. Plant about 30-40cm apart for a reasonably quick and dense hedge.
