An early blooming Salvia, ‘Farina’ will flower continuously from May in a range a cooling colours from white to blue and the deepest violet - they’re wonderfully elegant.
These compact, clump forming Salvias have scented leaves and produce masses of upright spires that are covered with tiny flowers from May all the way until October – an incredibly long flowering season! Being shorter than many varieties, not only are they a perfect addition to the edges of borders but they also look fabulous in raised beds, pots and containers.
Easy to grow and drought tolerant, they just need regular deadheading and watering to encourage repeat flowering all summer long. The flower spikes are extremely weather resistant, so they maintain their composure even in the unpredictable wet and dry of a UK summer. Bees, butterflies and other pollinators absolutely adore Salvias, and they make ideal cut flowers too.
