Be one of the very first to grow this brand new 2017 released variety, it adds an amazing tinge of colour to a mixed perennial garden.
Found many years ago as a chance find in the seed fields Echinacea 'Magnus' of the it's German breeder, it was out to open side. It was thought to have something wrong with it, so was not commercialised at that time, but tests revealed it is a 100% new, healthy and natural colour break (called a 'sport').
The green edges become more pronounced the older the plants get, and take a couple of years for the fresh lime green tips to be at their best. There is some variation in odd plants and even odd stems, so there will be a subtle variation as to how much green you get on each flower - part of it's naturtal attraction.
Being a sport from 'Magnus' the proven best Echinacea variety for decades, it has very good garden performance and robustness.
