Top Tips
Give your begonias afternoon shade. Watch how the sun moves around in your garden so you can put your begonias in a space that gets plenty of afternoon shade. While they do well with morning sun, begonias prefer to cool off in the afternoon.

Care Guide
- Keep plants frost free, and only plant out when danger of frost has passed.
- Begonias do well in the morning sun and prefer to cool off in the afternoon, so keep them where they can keep out of the midday sun.
- Keep them moist, but don't saturate the soil, as the stems and roots can rot.
- Feed often, especially after planting up. Weekly feedings are ideal and will encourage bigger, brighter blooms.
- Dead head often to encourage more flowers and reduce the risk of rot. Remove dead foliage too in order to encourage new growth.
- Don't overcrowd plants and provide good airflow. 6-8 inches between plantings is ideal.
