This collection includes three different and unique varieties of Blackberry – one perfect for hanging baskets, another ideal for pots on the patio and the other the most unusual and interesting new variety to grow!
Fruiting from July onwards, you’ll be picking large crops of sweet, tasty fruits all summer long and the beautiful blossom that precedes the blooms are perfect for adding spring interest to the garden – and are an absolute magnet for bees and butterflies!
The result of much breeding work, Black Cascade forms a spreading plant which gently cascades from a basket meaning you can pick the fruits easily at eye level instead of reaching and bending. When established one plant will fill a large hanging basket and yield over a kilo of large sweet juicy berries.
This brand new Blackberry variety from the renowned breeding programme at University of Arkansas US has a naturally dwarf habit growing to just 3ft tall so it's perfect for planting in patio pots and for smaller gardens. It's a 'primocane' variety which means it produces fruit on new growth from August to October and will produce crops to pick in the first year - much sooner than regular kinds. The extra-large sweet juicy berries are delicious to eat and easy to pick as the canes are thorn free.
Here's a chance to grow something unique with this brand new variety of blackberry with stunning, almost translucent creamy white berries. Polar Berry grows strongly with an upright habit meaning it needs minimal support and is easy to manage in the garden. Ready to pick in July and August - the fruits are juicy and very sweet and delicious cooked or in mixed fruit salads. With just a few thorns they're easy to pick and because of the colour they are much less attractive to foraging birds.
