Peony 'Coral Sunset'
A sumptuous, colour-changing, semi-double flower that will bring an opulent show of magnificence to any garden. The large, showy flowers bud up a fabulous deep salmon-pink before breaking into full blooms of the most amazing salmon. Peony
- Dig a planting hole large enough to spread out roots without bending them. Set crown with buds 3-5cm (1-2in) below ground-level. Backfill and water in thoroughly.
- Mulch lightly in spring and apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser around the base of the plant.
- If you want really big flowers, de-bud the side shoots in April/May with a sharp knife. Remove spent flowers.
Rose
- Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day
- Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary and plant so that the graft union is around 3cm below soil level.
- Water well every other day at least. For best results, feed roses in late-March/April and again in late July.
Sweet Pea Seeds
- Sow in pots or directly in the soil until early May.
- Once three or four pairs of leaves have developed, pinch off an inch or so of the growing tips,
- As side shoots begin to grow, tie them into their support. Water regularly.
- Feed once a fortnight with a high potash feed and pick blooms regularly - don't allow seed pods to form.
