The Pensham series of Penstemon were specially bred in Pensham, Worcestershire, to produce a variety of the perennial plant that would be the perfect fit for the British climate. Stronger growing, more robust and resistant and the most wonderful showy flowers, the Pensham series are one of the most prized and most grown varieties in UK gardens.
Also more compact and longer-flowering then other varieties, you’ll get a longer-lasting display but one that can be maintained in beds and borders, or even grown in pots adorning patios and terraces.
Their spires of gorgeous trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of pinks and purples produce contrasting bright white throats that make each and every individual flower really stand out, and they just simply keep on coming from May to Autumn. They’re also surprisingly hardy in well-drained spots too and will come back every year with an even bigger and better display.
We’ve put together a wonderful collection of 4 each of our favourites Pensham varieties which include;
