A professional mix to our exacting recipe from one of Europe’s leading blenders, it contains 50 percent composted wood fibre, to open the mix up and get air into the roots, and a precise blend of 3 different peats to balance drainage and water holding. With added lime, it is pH balanced to give the optimum growing conditions, it also contains starter fertiliser to get your plants off to a head-start, and a wetting agent to ensure even water distribution in pots and containers.
Not to be confused with cheap bags of low-grade black peats at DIY stores - you will feel the light and fluffy difference yourself and notice the difference in growth. Perfect for pots, baskets and planters for growing any plants.

The compost was definitely peat free and will be very free draining which is ideal for digging into heavy soil which is what I intended to use it for but I would not use it for potting as it appears to be very fibrous and not particularly well rotted.

Bought Professional compost for sowing seeds and potting on, but nothing in the description says that it is not suitable for this as it is full of sizeable lumps of wood fibres that are difficult to break down with your fingers. Very disappointed and had to go out and buy other compost.

was very disappointed with my Erigeron Karvinskianus as they was no soil in any of the pots and most of the branches had snapped off. I do not think they will survive. Will be contacting Ideal World for my money back

I do like the compost I ordered from Garden Bargains - it?s the only one I?ve ordered this year which doesn?t have a white bloom on the product when you open it, and it feels like really good quality as it?s not clumped up in the bag.Unfortunately, I?m finding that I?m receiving emails from Garden Bargains on a daily basis, with offers on their products, which is a little bit over the top. Whilst I?m happy to receive some emails, and don?t want to stop being notified, could I ask Garden Bargains to consolidate all the offers into one larger weekly email?

Although comes in very simple packaging, the content does wonders. I have been using this compost for years now. When its fresh * not kept in rain or in open places) its really good. It's very airy and comes with those fertiliser granules. I use it for planting everything, seeds, plug plants, shrubs, flowering plants etc.Product:

Can't fault it, the services I get are always prompt, with care and support. Always on hand to help you with any problems or questions. I had problems with how some plants were delivered, but through no fault of their own, it was how they were delivered, it was the person who delivered who was at fault. Garden Bargains were very quick to respond to my problems, and they quickly replaced the plant that had been damaged.
I recommend them whole heartily.
