As green keepers and grounds people will tell you Autumn is the perfect time of the year to get rid of moss from your lawns and to 'harden off' your grass for the winter period.

Moss is often a symptom of compact ground, shady areas and lots of moisture (the typical recipe of the Great British Summer Time!) - Use Moss Magic on your lawn to help the grass fight against disease and moss!

Moss problems are best attacked in autumn so that you can have the benefit of a good lawn in the spring of the following year so act now for a lawn to be proud of!

Moss Magic is economical and easy to use saving you time as well as money.  One 5 litre bottle will cover 500 square metres!

Top Tips for the 'perfect' lawn:-

Simply add 100ml of Moss Magic to a full watering can and sprinkle over and area of 10 square metres or alternatively use the Super Spray Applicator which connects to the end of your hose.

Wait for 4-7 days and your lawn will green-up and the moss will turn dark brown or black - once this has happened you need to remove the dead moss. 

Once the moss has changed colour use a manual lawn rake or a scarifier to vigorously remove all the dead moss.  After this the lawn will look a mess, but don't worry, the new grass will soon begin to fill out the gaps.

Immediately after removing the dead moss fork the lawn around every 12 inches to allow air and nutrients down into the roots where your grass needs it.

Sprinkle a top dressing over the lawn when the lawn is dry and sweep the dressing into the holes you have made with the fork.

For best results you then need to feed your lawn - Lawn Magic is the perfect partner to Moss Magic.  Within 2 weeks your lawn will have shown dramatic recovery and be on its way to perfection!

Any areas that are not beginning to fill can be simply re-seeded with a good quality grass seed, a good tip is to place your seed into standard general compost at the rate of approximately 2 parts of damp compost to 1 part seed overnight to help soften the seed casing leading to quicker germination.

After seeding feed once more with Lawn Magic during October and November to ensure your grass is strong and healthy for the winter.
